BLD Associates, LLC offers a range of Subsurface Utility Engineering including utility designating, locating, permitting, utility coordination and construction management. Utility engineering and design is sub-contracted to Lamm Engineering Associates and utility mapping to Joyner Land Surveying.

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
Used in accordance with 3-D underground radar technology to locate utilities and other structures, the 3-D radar technology adds to SUE projects by locating utilities and providing basic vertical information without excavation. Best use is in initial planning stage. Vacuum Excavation is still required for final design.
Surveying and Mapping
The industry has undergone significant technological advancements and Joyner Surveying will utilize global positioning system (GPS) and geographic information system (GIS) as well as traditional total station surveying methods.
Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD)
We employ a staff of CADD experts to assist our client's diverse utility and engineering needs.
With extensive experience in utility coordination and negotiation, problems can be anticipated and solved before impacting design or construction.
